Arizona Department of Education Postsecondary Funding Formula
Arizona’s postsecondary system will receive 15% of the funds awarded under Section 112 (a)(1) of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006.
Arizona will utilize an alternate formula for the award of monies at the postsecondary level under the provisions of Sections 132(a)(1) and 133 (a)(2) in order to make a more equitable distribution of funds to postsecondary recipients and better meet their needs.
Postsecondary funding is awarded under a State determined formula. 50% of the postsecondary funding is awarded on the basis of college district BIA and Pell student counts and 50% on the basis of county poverty data (the percent of individuals 19-65) by county. (ADE)
