Joining the Maricopa Community Colleges in March 2006, Dr. Poole serves as an Associate Director within the Center for Workforce Development and manages the district’s interests in the Local Workforce Investment Boards for the City of Phoenix and Maricopa County, Carl D. Perkins Federal Grant, Mature Workforce initiatives, and serves on numerous boards and committees.

With over 20 years of experience in education, Dr. Poole was the Manager of Professional Programs at the University College/School of Extended Education at Arizona State University; Educational Consultant for Management Information Systems/Adult and Continuing Education at the Iowa Department of Education; and Assistant Dean of Continuing Education, Business/Industry and Technical Education at Iowa Valley Community College District in Marshalltown, Iowa. 

Dr. Poole earned her Bachelor’s degree in Management Systems/Personnel from Buena Vista University, Master’s degree in Education from Iowa State University and in Educational Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Iowa State University.
