Joining the Maricopa Community Colleges in March 2006, Dr. Poole serves as an Associate Director within the Center for Workforce Development and manages the district’s interests in the Public Workforce System, Local Workforce Investment Board for the City of Phoenix, directs the Carl D. Perkins Federal Grant, and serves on numerous boards and committees.

With over 27 years of experience in education, Dr. Poole was the Manager of Professional Programs at the University College/School of Extended Education at Arizona State University; Educational Consultant for Management Information Systems/Adult and Continuing Education at the Iowa Department of Education, Bureau of Community Colleges and Workforce Preparation; and Assistant Dean of Continuing Education, Business/Industry and Technical Education at Iowa Valley Community College District in Marshalltown, Iowa. 

Dr. Poole earned her Bachelor’s degree in Management Systems/Personnel from Buena Vista University, Master’s degree (Education, Educational Leadership) and a Ph.D. (Higher Education, Educational Leadership and Policy Studies) from Iowa State University.
