Retail Management Program

The Maricopa Community Colleges offer a certificate and degree program in Retail Management. Initial impetus and support for these programs came from the retail grocery industry, but the curricula is appropriate for anyone in the retail trade. The college certificate program consists of ten core courses, plus one prerequisite. Click here for program description (inquiring about "retail" under program information).

Most major grocery retailers actively promote participation in the Retail Management certificate program and offer tuition reimbursement to their employees. The program is endorsed by the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) and the Arizona Food Marketing Alliance (AFMA).

The certificate transfers seamlessly into a two-year degree. Both the certificate and degree are available at all ten Maricopa Colleges. Click here for map showing the locations.

The AAS degree transfers seamlessly into a four-year degree. Arizona State University Polytechnic Campus has created a Bachelors of Applied Science (BAS) Degree in Food Retailing. For more information, see the Morrison School of Agribusiness and Resource Management here.
