Maricopa SIS FAMS testing with Department of Education
Dec 17, 1999: Good news and GOOD News!!! We have FINALLY finished all the schools' Y2K testing with the Department of Ed and we have passed ALL of the tests. We got the results for CGC and GWC DLOS testing yesterday. All ten schools (MSC is a BRANCH of GWC) are listed on the RFMS honor roll, the other three honor rolls should follow soon.
Have a happy holiday season. I will be on vacation next week, so the next time you hear from ITS SIS FAMS team will be after 1/3/2000, barring emergencies!
December 7, 1999 CPS: On Friday we received the final batches of test records from the CPS. Testing for CPS is now complete for all Maricopa colleges. Your name should appear on the Y2K Honor Roll (if it isn't already) in the next two weeks. As of this morning, only GCC was listed.
RFMS: Today we received the final batches of test records from the RFMS processor. Testing for RFMS is now complete for all Maricopa colleges. Your name should appear on the Honor Roll in the next two weeks. So far, only GCC is listed.
DL: We have sent 4 batches of origination records (two each from GWCC and CGCC). We only received 3 batches back. We don't know why the last batch did not return. Today we resent the last batch. When that batch returns we can move on to sending disbursement batches.
NSLDS: We have contacted the NSLDS processor. They were reluctant to send so many test batches and asked if we REALLY wanted to test all our colleges. We responded "Yes we do," so they are sending us the batches. So far they have not been received.
Dec 1, 1999 Maricopa sent out CPS test batches for remaining ten colleges. GCC had already successfully tested in the past. Of the 10 batches sent, Rio and SMCC were rejected because we had used their OPE id instead of their Pell id. We resent the Rio and SMCC batches, with the right inst codes, today. Those tests should be completed by tomorrow. The other 8 batches were accepted, so testing is now complete for those colleges. You should be able to see all of the Maricopa colleges names listed on the DOE web based Honor Roll in a couple of weeks.
Yesterday, we also sent out RFMS origination test batches for our 9 remaining colleges. GCC had already successfully tested, and Skill Center reports under GWCC's id, so they do not need to test separately. So far we have not received the reply from those batches. When we receive them, we then send test disbursement batches for the same colleges. We expect to complete RFMS testing next week.
Yesterday, we also sent out DL origination test batches for CGCC and GWCC. PVCC had already successfully tested, and none of our other colleges are currently participating in the Direct Loan program. So far we have not received the reply from those batches. When we do, we will then send test disbursement batches. We expect to complete DL testing next week.
To do NSLDS testing, we have to request a test batch of SSCR records be sent to us. We requested batches for our 9 remaining colleges yesterday. MCC and GCC have both already successfully tested. When we recieve the batches, we will run a no-update RBA175 at your college and send the resulting batches back in. We don't know exactly how long it will take to receive the test batches from NSLDS, but we hope to complete NSLDS testing by the end of next week.
