ACE helps students make a smooth transition from high school, through community college, and on to a university to obtain a bachelor’s degree. The program recruits sophomores in high school to participate in ACE for their junior and senior years. ACE students enroll in concurrent college courses and attend classes during summers, and Saturdays of fall and spring semesters. Upon high school graduation, ACE students may earn up to 24 transferable college credits.
Learn about the specifics
The ACE program is looking for high school sophomores who have taken at least 6 high school credits at the time of the application submission and who meet two or more of the following criteria:
- First generation to attend college
- Single parent home
- Underrepresented group
- Economic hardship
- Environmental factors i.e. - works 10-30 hours, is in foster care, lives in temporary housing, teen parent
How to apply to the ACE program
Submit a complete application to your college of choice consisting of:
- Completed Application Form
- Completed Recommendation Forms
- Personal Essay
- College Student Information Release Form
- Unofficial High school Transcripts
Your completed application will be evaluated per the selection criteria listed above. Note: some schools have an interview process.
You will be notified by letter on the status of your application.
If you are accepted into the ACE program, you will receive a scholarship offer, and further instructions about next steps.
The application deadline is yearly in mid-December, with the actual date varying by college.
