Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Maricopa Community Colleges’ Adult Basic Education (ABE) Transition Program is an 18-month college-to-career preparation program for students who are 16 years or older, who attend High School Equivalency or high-level English Language Acquisition for Adults (ELAA) classes at Rio Salado College, or have a GED.

English and English as a Second Language programs

Whether you’re coming to us from high school, many years in the workforce, or from a different culture, our English and English as a Second Language (ESL) programs enable you to become proficient in basic and more advanced English skills. Additionally, we help prepare you for college-level courses.
