Student Email

Having Sign-in Problems?

The account used for signing into student email is your MEID (Maricopa Enterprise ID). It is automatically created for all active students. Self-service tools are available to:

If you are a prior Maricopa Community Colleges student and it has been more than 365 days since you last enrolled, then you may be required to reactivate your MEID and choose a new password before you can sign in to your student mail.

If you are not able to sign in or reactivate your MEID after using these tools, you can contact one of our colleges’ Office of Admissions, Records, and Registration or call our 24/7 toll free support line at 1-888-994-4433.

Social Security Number Requirement

Your Social Security Number (SSN) must be on file with the Maricopa Community Colleges to reset your password or reactivate your MEID. If you did not provide an SSN while applying for admission then you must contact your college's Office of Admissions, Records, and Registration for password assistance. They have an option to give you a temporary confirmation ID that allows you to set your password for the first time.

Why Your Student Email Account is Important

Admitted students receive a "maricopa.edu" email account, which allows them to:

  • Receive official email updates from the Maricopa Community Colleges
  • Use applications in the G Suite for Education such as Google Calendar and Drive with unlimited storage

Forward Student Email to a Personal Address

If you would prefer to have your official student email delivered to a personal email address, follow these instructions to forward your email.

How to Get Your Student Email Account

To obtain a student email account, you must complete both of the following tasks:

  1. Admit or transfer to a Maricopa Community College
  2. Provide proof of identity through the online admissions process, or by showing your government-issued photo ID in person at your college's Office of Admissions, Records, and Registration

Your student email account is created one to two hours after these tasks are complete. If your account is not ready after two hours, we recommend trying again the next morning. If you are unsure of the status of your admissions application or ID verification, please contact your college’s Office of Admissions, Records, and Registration.

How to Set or Change Your Email Password

First time students, completing the admissions process online, will set up a password after submitting their application. This password and MEID will provide access to sign in to student email. If a system problem prevents you from setting your password while admitting, use the password reset tool (see the Social Security Number Requirement section above if your SSN is not on file).

Current students who know their password can sign in and change it. While changing your password, you have the option to update your account recovery questions and answers. If you have forgotten your password, use the password reset tool (see the Social Security Number Requirement section above if your SSN is not on file).

Accessing Student Email with Mobile Devices or Apps

Student email is also available as a mobile web application. You may have a better experience using the official Gmail app for Android or iOS.

If you prefer to use a different mail application, Google offers the ability to connect the account via IMAP.
