Aligning Systemwide Goals Through Integrated Planning

Aligning Systemwide Goals Through Integrated Planning

Maricopa Community Colleges’ transition to an integrated systemwide planning model establishes a unified framework that aligns shared priorities, goals, resources, and supporting plans across the district.

Under this model, systemwide plans, including the Academic Master Plan (AMP) and the Systemwide Strategic Enrollment Management (SSEM) Plan, provide overarching direction and strategic goals that guide and inform supporting plans and college-level strategies.

Planning process diagram shows that the current 3-year plan is in progress, the new 4-year plan begins July 1, 2026, and the subsequent plan starts Spring 2029 for a 2031—and beyond—plan. Additional footnote reads “Each planning process lasts approximately 18 months.”

As we continue to grow and innovate, our multi-year planning cycle ensures strong alignment and shared direction across the organization.
