Maricopa Community Colleges, Arizona’s largest community college system, is hosting Rock Enrollment Day on June 24. This event will take place across several of the system’s 10 colleges, offering expert support and guidance for new and returning students to register for the Fall 2025 semester that begins on August 23.
What to Expect
Rock Enrollment Day is designed to simplify and streamline the enrollment process and offer students an opportunity to connect with experts at their college campus.
- Personalized Support: Expert specialists will guide students through the enrollment process, from answering questions to building course schedules.
- Learn How to Pay for College: Meet financial aid advisors who can answer questions about completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). - Wide Range of Programs: Students can select from over 600 certificates and degree programs, including 11 bachelor’s degree options in high-demand, high-wage fields, such as artificial intelligence, business, education, healthcare, nursing, and public safety administration.
- Affordable Tuition: Maricopa Community Colleges offers the lowest tuition rates in Maricopa County, starting at $97 per credit hour for lower-division courses and $145.50 for upper-division classes.
Why Community Colleges Matter
Community colleges are playing an increasingly important role in shaping the future of higher education and workforce development. Nationally, community colleges have been a major driver of growth in higher education, enrolling 41% of undergraduates, with enrollment rising 5.4% at public two-year colleges, while vocational-focused community colleges' enrollment increased by 11.7%.
Maricopa Community Colleges has experienced this surge firsthand, with a systemwide 3.3% year-over-year enrollment increase during the 2023-24 academic year. With a focus on workforce-aligned programs, the system continues to enroll more Arizona residents than any other in-state university.
