Maricopa Community Colleges’ Marketing and Communications (MarComm) teams have earned national recognition from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), receiving top honors in the 2025 Paragon Awards – one of the most competitive and prestigious awards programs for community college marketing and communications professionals.
The Maricopa Community Colleges District Office, Mesa Community College (MCC), and Rio Salado College (RSC) were recognized among just 98 winners selected from 1,585 entries nationwide, placing their work among the most distinguished in the nation.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that Maricopa Community Colleges, or one of its 10 colleges, has earned national recognition from NCMPR, underscoring a sustained commitment to excellence in marketing, communications, and storytelling.
- The District Office MarComm team received a Silver Award for Boundary Breaker, highlighting the strength of the system’s brand campaign work.
- MCC received two national Paragon Awards, including a Gold Award for its For the Learner video series and a Silver Award for its 60th Anniversary website. These honors reflect MCC’s continued leadership in creative strategy, digital advertising, and audience engagement.
- Rio Salado College was also recognized with a Silver Award for Define Your Moment, further demonstrating the system’s collective strength in producing impactful, student-centered marketing campaigns.
“Being recognized at the national level through the Paragon Awards reflects the strength of our MarComm teams and our shared belief that there is a better way to do college,” said Lindsey Wilson, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Maricopa Community Colleges. “In such a competitive field, these recognitions underscore how our 10 colleges are demonstrating that college can look different, feel different, and work better for everyone.”
NCMPR’s Paragon Awards are the only national competition dedicated exclusively to honoring excellence in marketing, communications, and public relations at community and technical colleges. Winners are selected by industry professionals and represent the highest standard of achievement in the field.
