Pharmacy Prescription Benefits: Customer Service
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Pharmacy Prescription Benefits: Customer Service program is designed to provide students with the training needed for employment in the retail pharmacy industry. This program is offered through an educational partnership. Employment by the partnership organization is required for admission.
This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid.
Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.

- Explain the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regarding protected health information and its importance to ensuring member confidentiality.

- Determine the needs of callers from diverse backgrounds.
- Determine member eligibility status and account drug coverage.
- Maintain customer accounts.
- Complete processes for billing and payment inquiries.
- Complete prior authorizations and specialty order procedures.
