Water Services: Customer Service
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Water Utility Operations: Account Services and Delivery Management program is designed to provide students with the training needed for employment in the water services irrigation industry. Students will specialize in either Water Account Services or Water Delivery Systems. Students in Account Services will focus on water rights, account management, processing, and troubleshooting orders. Students in Water Delivery Systems will focus on scheduling, delivery processes, controls, measurements, and maps. Both specializations will emphasize organizational customer service standards and skills and water delivery systems.

This program is offered through an educational partnership. Employment by the partnership organization is required for admission.
This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid.
Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.
- Explain water rights.
- Differentiate between water delivery systems.
- Describe types of information found in customer accounts.
- Compare and contrast types of water orders.
- Interpret water schedules.
- Use an irrigation mapping system.
- Explain rules for handling Supplemental Supply Program (SSP) water.
- Demonstrate procedures for managing customer accounts.
- Explain procedures for handling accounts related to property sales.
- Demonstrate procedures for handling special situations and problem calls.
- Complete typical irrigation calls.
- Demonstrate procedures for completing billing and payment account procedures.
- Compare and contrast various agricultural and residential water delivery systems and processes.
- Compare and contrast types of water orders.
- Use controls and maps to complete irrigation procedures.
- Complete irrigation water delivery measurement procedures.
- Demonstrate safety expectations with regard to public, workers, system assets and equipment.
- Manage water delivery issues.
- Describe and demonstrate characteristics of accountability, professionalism, and effective customer service.
