Jamf Training Foundation
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Jamf Training Foundation offers a core understanding of Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect as well as an enterprise-focused examination of the macOS, iOS, and iPadOS platforms. The hands-on and example-based environment provides experience in the configuration of Jamf Pro, Jamf Protect, device enrollment, distributing App Store apps, building and managing packages to deploy to computers, configuration and settings for computers and mobile devices, device security, a scripting overview (Bash), and an introduction to the security standards.

This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid.
Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.
- Articulate the purpose of the course and access the related materials.
- Describe the fundamental macOS, iOS, and iPadOS settings and file storage structures.
- Configure Jamf Pro leveraging user groups.
- Create organizational objects and configure system settings for future use.
- Enroll computers and mobile devices into Jamf Pro.
- Organize devices into advanced searches and smart groups based on inventory criteria.
- Deploy apps and settings to computers and mobile devices.
- Configure restrictions and device settings using configuration profiles.
- Create basic Bash scripts for deployment to computers.
- Deploy scripts, packages, and other content to computers and mobile devices.
- Explain the security features built into macOS, iOS, and iPadOS.
- Explore security standards and how they relate to device management and Jamf Protect.
- Create a custom plan and action configuration.
- Configure and test alerts.
- Prepare for the certification exam opportunities through course review.

The following is the suggested course sequence by term. Please keep in mind:

- Initial course placement is determined by current district placement measures and/or completion of 100-200 level course and/or program requirements.
- Degree and transfer seeking students may be required to successfully complete a MCCCD First Year Experience Course (FYE) within the first two semesters at a MCCCD College.
