First-Year Experience (FYE)

Minimum Qualifications

First-Year Experience courses are degree requirements for Maricopa students who are beginning any degree or transfer program. Maricopa is looking for course instructors who have a master’s degree or higher in almost any discipline plus one year of full-time experience in Higher Ed or 2+ years in secondary education. Additional training will be provided and classes will be offered in multiple modalities.

The ideal instructor for the FYE courses will be passionate about students and their success. The optimal candidate will have familiarity with the campus for which they are teaching in order to best guide and inspire students.

Only applications with unofficial transcripts, resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV), and cover letter addressing how the applicant meets the stated qualifications will be considered.

Maricopa Community Colleges accepts unofficial transcripts for U.S. schools at the time of application. Unofficial transcripts are submitted as an attachment to the application. Transcripts from non U.S. institutions must be translated/evaluated and provided with application material.
