Maricopa Community Colleges has provided a list of resources to help safeguard your personal safety (crisis services, disease testing, domestic violence, and suicide prevention) during a time of need. The resources on this page are updated on a regular basis.

Department of Economic Security (DES)

The DES Short-Term Crisis Services (STCS) program may help eligible Arizona families with emergency needs such as emergency shelter, rent or mortgage payments, utility assistance, rental deposits, and certain employment-related costs. A dependent child must live in the home.

Maricopa County Public Health offers free flu shots for anyone 6 months and older at county immunization clinics by appointment. Vaccine availability may vary, so check current details before scheduling.

DES helps Arizona residents apply for Medical Assistance through AHCCCS, the state’s Medicaid program. AHCCCS coverage may help pay for services such as doctor visits, physical exams, immunizations, prenatal care, hospital care, and prescriptions.

Managed by the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence (ACESDV), the Arizona Sexual and Domestic Violence Helpline helps connect people with support, information, safety planning, and referrals for sexual and domestic violence services across Arizona.
