Incarcerated Re-entry

Toward a Brighter Future

Maricopa Community Colleges offers incarcerated and community re-entry programs for students seeking education, workforce development, and support for what comes next.

Since 1983, Rio Salado College has partnered with the Arizona Department of Corrections to offer occupational and educational incarcerated programs—as well as Workforce Development training opportunities—for incarcerated individuals in and outside the state of Arizona.

Whether you are preparing for re-entry yourself or looking to understand the support available, these programs are designed to help people build practical skills to effectively transition to the community. Courses focus on readiness, preparation, and retention skills for jobs, plus family reunification, personal and social skills development, and substance abuse education.

Courses are both onsite and offered as distance learning classes.
