Learning Centers

Learning Centers

Our colleges provide free tutoring and learning support to reinforce course lessons and help you learn effectively and efficiently.

You can be proactive and visit one of our many learning centers at any time. Explore how we can help you improve your study skills and support you with the right strategies for success. All our learning centers provide free student services.

What We Offer

Tutoring

Trained tutors provide students with several out-of-class options, including in-person, online, drop-in, appointment-based, individual, and group assistance.

Writing Centers

Work one-on-one with trained literary tutors to master the written word at all stages—everything from thesis development to crafting an outline, putting your thoughts into words, and revisions.

Academic Coaching and Mentoring

Get the best possible college experience by benefiting from the expertise of academic coaches and mentors who will assist you with school-life-work balance, general study, life skills, and opportunities on campus.

Supplemental Instruction (SI)™

Benefit from trained SI leaders who collaborate with faculty and provide SI and group-study sessions designed for specific class sections.

Study Skills Workshops

Students may participate in a variety of workshops — available each semester — for study skills like brain theory, note-taking, learning preferences, and academic subjects like math and composition, and Health Education Systems Incorporated (HESI) test preparation.

ESL and ELL Services

If you are an English as a Second Language (ESL) or an English Language Learner (ELL) student, you can participate in conversation groups and circles, grammar workshops, Rosetta Stone® coverage, and other resources available at various centers through our colleges.

Additional Resources

A variety of resources are available to students in the learning centers, including textbooks, anatomy models, microscopes, calculators, Rosetta Stone® materials, group study rooms, ESL/ELL resources, and handouts.
