Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID)
All students at the 10 Maricopa Community Colleges are issued a Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID) upon completing their college application. Their MEID allows them to access their student accounts and various college systems and learning platforms.
The MEID is also used to create a student email address—for example, [email protected].
Students use their student email address and password to log in to student accounts such as the Student Center, student email, Canvas/RioLearn, and other student systems.
Student MEID Activation
After completing their college application, a student’s MEID becomes active. However, students do not gain access to their student email account until ID authentication is completed.
A student’s MEID remains active as long as the student is enrolled in classes from semester to semester.
Student MEID Deactivation
MEIDs are deactivated after 120 days of no new enrollment (or 120 days starting the day after classes are graded at the end of the corresponding semester). If a student withdraws from classes or does not enroll in classes after 120 days from being graded for their classes, the student’s MEID is deactivated.
MEID reactivation is required once students have passed 120 days of not being enrolled in classes. Once a student’s MEID is deactivated, the student will not be able to access their student systems and must reactivate their MEID if they want to re-enroll in classes.
Note: If a student submits an application but never enrolls, the MEID will be deactivated 120 days after the application submission date.
Dual Enrollment students are excluded from the 120-day rule. Dual Enrollment student MEIDs are deactivated after 2 years of no enrollment.
How to Reactivate Your MEID
To reactivate a student MEID, fill out the Reactivate MEID form.
Student SIS Accounts
If a student MEID is deactivated, the student account in SIS (Student Information System) is not deleted. Student records are maintained according to Official Records Retention Rules.
